with a 16-bit, low-power, high-speed Renesas microcontroller and 24-bit sigma-delta analogue-to-digital converter with an accuracy of 1 gam at 35 kg. It has two sets of 4-window, 6-X7-segment displays (one for customer and second for retailer) to show weight, rate of the item, amount and total amount of all the items purchased by the customer. A separate RS-232 port is available to connect additional booth display. Out of 100 preprogrammed items with their names and rates, 32 items can be accessed directly from the memory via a separate 4X4 keyboard.
